This Father's Day we will celebrate our special fur babies. We consider each one a special gift.
God did not grant us the gift of children . But when he allowed us the opportunity to have dogs in our life he gave us the ability to nurture, love and protect them as any parent would. For us the only difference is our children walk on 4 legs and are covered with lots of hair.
They have been our greatest gift.
My Sister-in-law made this floral arrangement for me when we got this new dining table (off Craig's List!)
I got these dog plates just recently at Tuesday Morning. (4.99 ea - 60% off!)
HERE is that post if you missed it
I collect these little dogs..some are bookends,
The little guy in the bottom right corner is a nut cracker!
Do you have a special dog in your life? I'd LOVE to hear about them.
P.S. I saw this on an email today :)
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
· When loved ones come home, always run to greet them;
· Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride;
· Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure DELIGHT.
· Take naps;
· Stretch before rising;
· Run, romp, and play daily;
· Thrive on attention and let people touch you;
· Avoid biting when a simple growl will do;
· On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass;
· On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree;
· When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body;
· Delight in the simple joy of a long walk;
· Be loyal;
· Never pretend to be something you're not;
· If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it;
· When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently;
